RFQ Questions & Answers

Q. Is it the expectation of the workforce development board that the consultant be included in the fall regional team meetings with the Workforce Skills Cabinet as noted in the Blueprint template? If so, in what way?

A. It is expected  that the consultant will participate in and lead the fall regional team meetings.

Q. Has any planning session already taken place and if so when?

A. One session has been conducted, with another scheduled for July 27th. Summary reports of each meeting will be available.

Q. Please define the role of the workforce board.

  • Can they be tapped for project support? If so, how much support will they provide and in what capacity?

A. The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is leading the project and will be working closely with the consultant providing direction and data as needed.

Q. Please define to what extent the workforce board will be providing materials to the contractor.

  • When will the contractor be able to anticipate these materials?

A. The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is leading the project and will be working closely with the consultant providing direction and data as needed.

Q. Please define the employer focus group session(s) in more detail.

  • How many focus group sessions do you anticipate?
  • Who will lead the session?

A. Focus group meetings will entail 4-6 meetings, the WDB will assist in participant selection and the consultant will lead the meetings.

Q. Who will be participating in the discussions (3rd bullet) as well?

  • Will summary documents outlining key findings from each previous meeting be provided?

A. Industry, education, and economic development leaders will participate in discussions. Summaries of all previous meetings will be provided.

Q. To what extent might we expect workforce board staff to participate in writing or providing content for the Regional Blueprint?

  • Is it expected that the Blueprint will mostly use the figures already produced?

A. WDB staff will provide data and other content for the Blueprint, some of which is being generated at regional meetings. Staff will oversee the production of the Blueprint. It is not anticipated that the consultant will have to generated primary data for the report.

Q. How will data from the workforce boards be supplied i.e. raw and unprocessed so contractor will have to organize and scrub or standardized and cleaned so contractor will only need to analyze?

A. Data will be available in usable formats and will require very little manipulation by the contractor.

Q. Will contractor have access to data used for regional labor market information or is it the expectation that the contractor will be supplied with new information? If so, who does the contractor need to work with to retrieve the new information?

A. Data will be supplied to the contractor, the contractor will also have access to data that will be generated mostly from proprietary software used by the WDB.
