Barnstable iFoum

Barnstable iForum is a “virtual town hall” designed to get the ideas of Barnstable residents about various topics or issues in our Town.

The idea is to start a conversation and seek ideas from residents. The site was started in early December with six topics and have several interesting conversations in process.

One has to sign-in at barnstableiforum.com to join the conversation.

We believe your Groups, active residents of each Village and neighboring Towns, will have some great ideas. Any assistance you can provide in promoting this effort would be appreciated.|

Barnstable is Listening!

Recruiting employees from outside the US can help employers in finding critical skills or in addressing seasonal staffing needs. However, employment-related visas can be complex and intimidating for the HR professional who is unfamiliar with the regulations and requirements. This month’s CCHRA program will give you an overview of various nonimmigrant visas such as the H-1B, H-2B, J-1, and others that employers turn to when hiring from overseas. You’ll learn more about the type of employee who can access each visa, the employer’s requirements, and the processes for initiating applications as well as tools and resources for further information.
